Ariel M. Modrykamien, MD has taught and served as the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory Care Services at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He won several awards for his teachings, such as the Excellence in Teaching Award, School of Medicine Exceptional Educator and the Golden Apple Award, just to name a few.
After completing medical school at the Universidad Favaloro, he continued his training at the J.A. Fernandez Hospital in Buenos Aires for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Modrykamien also completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York. Then, he completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. His professional interests on mechanical ventilation and respiratory care have steered several lectures, co-authored articles, book chapters, abstracts, case reports, and editorials. Dr. Modrykamien is the Medical Director of the Respiratory Care, Bronchoscopy and Pulmonary Function Lab at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. In his spare time, Dr. Modrykamien enjoys spending time with his family.
